HomeAway Inc., a service that allows its users to rent out their home as a vacation property, has acquired rental management startup Glad to Have You Inc.

Glad to Have You makes mobile applications for vacation rental companies, hotels, and resorts that provide communication and organizational tools to help keep track of guests during their stay. The Santa Rosa Beach, Fla.-based target provides guests with a local venue recommendation service as a means to enhance their experience, as well as the ability to request maintenance if needed.

Terms of the deal remain undisclosed, but Glad to Have You previously raised $855,000 of a $1 million venture capital round in 2012.

HomeAway expects the deal to assist its clients during the listing process. The Austin, Texas-based buyer said Glad will continue to operate as a separate service, while the startup’s founders will stay on as consultants to help with the transition.

Among HomeAway's backers are American Capital, Austin Ventures, Google Ventures, Institutional Venture Partners, Redpoint Ventures, Technology Crossover Ventures and Trident Capital.
