HCA (NYSE: HCA) is buying the Grandview Medical Center in Tennessee for an undisclosed amount.
Grandview is a 70-bed hospital in Jasper, Tenn., which serves five counties in Tennessee, Georgia and Alabama. The hospital will become part of the Parkridge Health System, which is part of HCA’s TriStar Division. The TriStar division provides health care services in Tennessee, south central Kentucky and north Georgia.
The transaction gives the Parkridge Health System five facilities in the Chattanooga market.
Grandview was sold by Capella Healthcare, a Franklin, Tenn., hospital operator.
Other recent health care facility deals include LifePoint Hospitals’ (Nasdaq: LPNT) acquisition of Bell Hospitalin Ishpeming, Mich., and Vibra Healthcare LLC’s acquisition of 16 facilities from Kindred Healthcare Inc. in September.
