Grey Mountain Partners has acquired ATS Systems for an undisclosed amount.

ATS, headquartered in Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif., provides automation accessories for machining tools.

The deal marks an exit for Vintage Fund Management LLC, a Los Angeles-based private equity firm. During Vintage’s investment period, in 2006, ATS Systems acquired SMW Systems LLC, which provided machine tool accessories.

Boulder, Colo.-based Grey is a private equity firm that focuses on investing in lower middle market companies. The firm does deals with transaction enterprise values between $30 million and $150 million. Grey is also invested in Herr-Voss Stamco, Insulpane of Connecticut Inc. and Orchard Glass Distributors Inc.

Duff & Phelps LLP provided financial advisory services to ATS on the deal.
