Green Energy Renewable Solutions Inc. has merged with Cirque Energy II LLC, a renewable energy company.

Green Energy develops and operates municipal solid waste, construction and demolition waste processing and recycling facilities. The company processes materials to try to reduce the volume of waste that enters landfills. Green Energy plans to change its name to Cirque Energy Inc. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Ithica, Mich.-based Cirque develops, designs, finances and operates landfills, renewable energy power plants and traditional generation power plants.

The deal follows several alternative energy transactions. In April, Renovalia Energy and private equity firm First Reserve Corp. acquired two wind power plants in Mexico, ABB (NYSE: ABB) agreed to buy Power-One, a solar energy company and EDF Renewable Energy bought the remainder of a wind project in Texas
