German private equity firm ECM Equity Capital Management, through one of its funds, acquired the MediFox Group, a holding company consisting of health care related properties and services.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but according to the firm’s website, acquisition targets are generally companies with revenues of €20 million (U.S. $26 million) to €250 million (U.S. $327.6 million).

Frankfurt-based ECM facilitated the deal through German Equity Partners IV, the firm’s fourth fund, which began investing in October 2012.

Headquartered in Hildesheim, MediFox acts as a provider of specialized software services for ambulatory care providers and nursing homes throughout Germany. Two MediFox subsidiaries, BFS Abrechnungs GmbH and CareNavigator GmbH, were also sold. BFS is an invoicing and factoring service provider in the German nursing care market. CareNavigator is a web-portal service that allows health care providers, physicians and patients to exchange data.
