Kerry Group plc has closed on a deal for Big Train Inc., a company that makes beverage concentrates.
Big Train makes liquid and powdered beverage concentrates used for blended iced coffee, fruit smoothies, chai tea, cocoa drinks. The company also makes syrups.
Kerry Group, headquartered in Tralee, Ireland, makes food products, including the Fresh Ways, Galtee and Move Over Butter brands.
Nautic Partners LLC previously owned Big Train. The Providence, R.I.-based private equity firm has also exited investments in GCA Services Group, Aavid Thermalloy and Agilex Fragrances since November 2012.
Edwards Wildman Palmer acted as Big Train’s legal counsel. Terms of the deal weren’t disclosed.
