Fandango is buying Quantum Loyalty Solutions Inc. for an undisclosed amount.

Quantum, headquartered in Incline Village, Nevada, provides movie ticket-related promotions and owns Hollywood Movie Money, a movie currency that is accepted at some theaters.

The deal should accelerate Fandango’s promotional movie ticket and gift card business and increase the company’s product offerings.  Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Fandango, a unit of NBCUniversal, sells movie tickets online and through a mobile application. The company also has reviews, commentary, celebrity interviews and movie trailers on its website. NBCUniversal is owned by Comcast Corp. (Nasdaq: CMCSA).
