Excellere Partners has made an undisclosed investment in in TrialCard Inc.
TrialCard, headquartered in Cary, North Carolina, provides pharmaceutical marketing and customer support services. The company processes about $1 billion in patient benefits per year.
Excellere is a Denver-based private equity firm that has about $737 million in committed capital. The firm plans to help TrialCard grow organically and through acquisitions. The firm has invested in other health care-related companies, including AxelaCare, which it sold to Harvest Partners LP in April 2013. Excellere's current portfolio companies include Advanced Pain Management, Advanced Infusion Solutions and U.S. Water Services.
Harris Williams & Co. advised TrialCard on the deal.
