Seattle, Washington-based private equity firm Evergreen Pacific Partners opened a Los Angeles, California office, hiring Steve Wiesner as a senior vice president to head the new office.

Weisner was previously a director at Lincoln International, a Chicago, Illinois-based investment bank. He joined the mid-market investment bank in 2006, before which, he was a partner at Zuma Capital Partners, a Los Angeles-based investment firm. Weisner was also a founding member of Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette’s M&A transaction development group. Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette later became Credit Suisse First Boston, and Weisner was named vice president and head of the West Coast M&A business development group.

In August, Evergreen closed a $425 million buyout fund. The firm now administers about $700 million in capital under management. In October 2007, the private equity firm acquired Haney Truck Line. In March 2005, the firm invested $13.0 million into Western Broadband LLC, a Arizona-based cable television company. In December 2005, Evergreen bought three heritage radio stations in San Diego, California from Finest City Broadcasting, a San Diego, California-based radio broadcasting company.

Evergreen Pacific was co-founded by Timothy Bernardez, T. J. McGill, and Michael Nibarger. Calls placed to Steve Weisner and Evergreen Pacific were not returned by press time.
