Duane Morris LLP — Jennifer Wheater joined the Philadelphia firm's corporate practice in London as a partner. Focusing on tax issues in private equity and cross-border transactions, Wheater was previously with Proskauer Rose LLP.


CBRE Group Inc. — The Los Angeles-based commercial real estate investment firm enlisted Jason Hochman to its debt and equity group in Miami. Hochman, who specializes in private capital transactions, joins from Adler Group and Adler Kawa Real Estate Advisors where he was a vice president of acquisitions.


Huron Capital Partners — The Detroit private equity firm hired four new executives. Heather Madland (pictured) joins Huron from New York investment bank SPP Capital Partners as vice president of deal origination. She will be responsible for Huron’s business development and investment sourcing activities. Mark Miller also joins Huron’s transaction team as vice president. Prior to Huron, Miller was a senior associate with Glencoe Capital and, before that, JPMorgan Chase & Co. (NYSE: JPM). Huron also announced the addition of two analysts, Tod Pesses and Mike Zukas.


LCMS Solutions Inc. — Private equity veteran Dale Ziegler was named chief executive of LCMS, a provider of clinical diagnostic information to doctors. Prior to joining LCMS, Ziegler was managing director of La Jolla, Calif.-based private equity firm Carlisle Enterprises LLC.


William Blair & Co. — The Chicago-based investment bank brought in Christopher Lane (pictured) from rival firm Jefferies LLC to be a managing director in William Blair’s technology banking group. Based in San Francisco, Lane is the latest addition to our growing M&A advisory team focusing on the software sector. He joins recently hired managing directors Robert Abbe and Per Stahl, both of whom were also poached from Jefferies.
