Digital Insurance has continued a streak of acquisitions with the purchase of Strategic Employee Benefit Services – Wellesley, Providence and Springfield.
The target, formerly known as Northwestern Group Associates Insurance Agency Inc. will operate under the digital benefit advisers unit of Digital Insurance. The company’s headquarters are in Wellesley, Mass., Providence, R.I., and Springfield, Mass.
The deal will establish Digital Insurance’s first Boston office.
Digital Insurance, headquartered in Atlanta, focuses on employee benefits. In July, the company bought Berg Andonian, in May it bought Fallick Insurance Services, and in February it acquired Group Brokerage Insurance Agency.
Other recent insurance deals include AmTrust Financial Services Inc.’s purchase of Sagicor Financial Corp., Confie Seguros’ purchases of CW Baker Insurance Agency and Lewiston Insurance Agency, and Columbia Insurance Co.’s acquisition of Hartford Life International Ltd.
