Food company Diana Group has purchased Confoco SA for an undisclosed amount.
Pasaje, Ecuador-based Confoco manufactures flakes, powders and purees from tropical fruits and vegetables, including bananas, pineapples, mangos and pumpkins.
The deal allows Diana, headquartered in Vannes, France, to expand its baby food offerings. The company also develops pet food.
Other recent food deals include Altamont Capital Partners’ acquisition of Richard’s Cajun Foods and Blue Ribbon, B&G’s purchase of Pirate’s Booty-maker Robert’s American Gourmet Food LLC, and Shuangui International Holdings Ltd.’s deal to buy Smithfield Foods Inc.
