Demandware Inc. (NYSE: DWRE) has purchased Mainstreet Commerce.
Mainstreet, headquartered in Deerfield Beach, Fla., provides cloud-based order management services, including automated payment processing, order processing, shipping management and fulfillment. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Burlington, Mass.-based Demandware provides cloud commerce services, and expects the deal to simplify order orchestration between online and in-store shipping. The two companies already serve about 20 of the same customers, including clothing retailer Vineyard Vines.
The deal follows other ecommerce acquisitions, including private equity firm the Gores Group’s purchase of Zmag, which provides e-commerce services, and Ingram Micro Inc.’s (NYSE: IM) acquisition of Shipwire.
