CoBe Capital has acquired Staples Inc.’s (Nasdaq: SPLS) printing systems division for an undisclosed amount.
The division, headquartered in Amsterdam, provides printing equipment, maintenance and workflow services.
CoBe, a private equity firm based in New York, focuses on acquiring non-core and underperforming business units in the Americas and Europe. The firm seeks out cross-border deals. The company’s portfolio includes Arosa Mobilia, based in Maribor, Slovenia, Bus Parts Warehouse, headquartered in Manilus, N.Y., and Warendorfer Kuchen, a Warendorf, Germany-based kitchen designed that CoBe bought in October 2012.
Framingham, Mass.-based Staples bought Runa, a software company based in San Mateo, Calif., that aims to increase online sales in October. The buyer sells office supplies, computers, furniture and software.
