BV Investment Partners has picked up a majority stake in the Efficient Collaborate Retail Marketing Co. (ECRM) as part of a recapitalization deal.
Solon, Ohio-based ECRM operates technology-enabled purchasing events for product manufacturers and retailers. The company develops MarketGate, software that aims to streamline interactions and improve sales. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
BV Investment is a Boston private equity firm that focuses on lower middle market deals. The firm has invested more than $2.6 billion in more than 80 companies since it was founded in 1983. In December, the firm picked up training company John M. Campbell & Co. BV’s other investments include Health Information Designs, FGL Holdings and En-Touch Holdings LLC.
