Myelin Health has acquired a provider of online market services Avid Design.
Avid, headquartered in Norcross, Georgia, provides online marketing, communication and technical products and services to hospitals, health care systems and physician groups. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Myelin offers marketing communication services to health care customers as well as clients in other professional services industries. “The health care market has rapidly evolved in recent years to become much more focused on the consumer and their experience, and we expect that trend to continue,” says Randy Mehl, a partner with Baird Capital, which owns Myelin.
The buyer was founded when Baird invested in Partners+Simons, a brand communications company that specialized in the financial services and health care industries. In 2013, the company bought Duet Health, a mobile health care communications group.
Baird is the investment arm of Robert W. Baird & Co. The firm recently sold American Auto Auction Group to PE firm Huron Capital Partners in May.
