Atlas Holdings and Blue Wolf Capital Partners have acquired a majority interest in Twin Rivers Paper Co.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed. South Portland, Maine-based Twin Rivers makes specialty labels, packaging and publishing paper, as well as lumber.

Blue Wolf Capital is a private equity firm based in New York. Its portfolio companies include American Builders Supply Inc., Finch Paper Holdings LLC, and Snappy Air Distribution Products. The firm focuses on acquiring controlling stakes in companies.

Atlas Holdings, headquartered in Greenwich, Conn., owns a group of manufacturing, distribution, service and trading businesses in the equipment, energy, pulp, paper and other markets.
