The Alliance of Mergers & Acquisition Advisors (AM&AA) brings together hundreds of dealmakers from the lower middle market for the AM&AA 2017 Winter Conference. The gathering takes place Feb. 1-3 at the elegant Bellagio in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The conference was planned by a committee of 12 members and will feature a variety of keynote speakers: middle-market business leaders, authors, and speakers with cross-border M&A experience. BNY Mellon’s director of investment strategy Jeff Mortimer, Fuego Enterprises CEO Hugo Cancio, Corporate Value Metrics founder Kenneth Sanginario and author Itzik Amiel are all slated to speak. This year, for the first time, the winter conference will kick off with The Alliance’s Deal Bash, an opportunity for dealmakers to network and execute deals, an event which is usually head at the end of the conference.

“We are 100 percent devoted to the lower middle market and this is truly for dealmakers looking to make deals,” says Samantha Snelling, director of business development for AM&AA. “Our hope is that dealmakers looking to make deals will start that conversation on Wednesday and continue that conversation throughout the week.”

AM&AA was founded in 1980 to bring together financial advisors, investors, certified public accountants (CPAs), and attorneys to support the needs of the middle-market professionals across the U.S. The organization has approximately 1,100 members that represent corporate and institutional sellers, and buyers of businesses ranging broadly from $5 million to $500 million in transaction value.

In the winter, Snelling says, “we choose a location that’s warm.” The business development head says Las Vegas became a premiere option since AM&AA is in the process of forming a new chapter in the region, in addition to the Las Vegas strip as an added treat for dealmakers. AM&AA anticipates hosting more than 450 middle-market professionals, to include: investment bank executives and intermediaries, private equity investors, senior and mezzanine lenders, CPAs, lawyers, business valuators, consultants and other M&A advisers.
