AllOver Media Inc. has acquired Gas Station Radio, a convenience store audio network.
Gas Station Radio provides audio advertising to gas pumps by broadcasting advertisements with other content, including music, local news and car-care tips. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The deal gives Minneapolis-based AllOver Media a larger gas station advertising presence. In May, the company acquired Trans Media Group, expanding its bus transit network. AllOver Media specializes in targeting on-the-go consumers at convenience stores, gas stations and other places. In 2012, the company picked up a printing center.
Other recent media transactions include Penske Media Corp.'s acquisition of the Fairchild Fashion Media group in August, and ScanSource Inc.'s (Nasdaq: SCSC) deal for Brazilian network Network1.
