For our 4th Annual Rising Stars of Private Equity, Mergers & Acquisitions seeks stellar dealmakers who are full-time private equity investors and whose best days are yet to come. These are the folks who will one day play a key leadership role at your PE firm – or will head up one of their own. Nominations are due Friday, May 21, 2021.

New for 2021: This year, we are looking closely at how the Rising Stars candidates are performing as dealmakers with the unique challenges of the Coronavirus pandemic and how they are helping portfolio companies pivot to the New Normal. We’re also examining how they are participating in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) efforts, and how they are furthering Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance (ESG) objectives, each of which are becoming of increasing importance and concern to the institutional investors who fund private equity investment.

REQUIREMENTS

We are looking for candidates who are outstanding performers, who are well beyond entry-level but haven’t made it to partner level – yet. A great example of a potential candidate is an individual who was recently promoted to principal from vice president. There is no age cutoff.

At the heart of the nomination form are 2 sets of questions: 1 set that the candidate must answer, and 1 set that a sponsoring executive at the same firm must answer. The answers must be suitable for publication. We will use excerpts from the nomination forms in the profiles we write.

Please do not include confidential information in the nomination form.

If you have questions, or would like to recommend someone who works at a firm other than your own, or you want to send us confidential information, please email us at: [email protected].

TIMELINE

The deadline for nominations is Friday, May 21, 2021.

We will announce the winners at our Rising Stars in Private Equity SPEAK virtual event on July 14, 2021. Profiles of the winners will appear in the July/August issue of Mergers & Acquisitions and on our website in mid-July.

Note: There is no fee to submit a nomination.

Good luck to all the candidates!
