Mergers & Acquisitions editor-in-chief, Mary Kathleen Flynn spoke with Suzanne Yoon, the founder and managing partner of Kinzie Capital Partners, a Chicago-based private equity firm about a wide range of issues facing dealmakers today from opening back up after quarantine to competing with other PE firms. The interview took place at Mergers & Acquisitions’ The Best in M&A Speak virtual event, where we announced the winners of the 2021 Top 10 Middle-Market Deals of the Year. One of our Top 25 Most Influential Women of 2021, Yoon shared some of her thoughts on diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) in the middle market.
“This is going to be a really, really hot deal market this next year, or two, or three, and a lot of that is going to be driven by an excess of supply and demand,” anticipates Yoon. “I think both of those things are coming to a head as we’re seeing more deals come to the market that were taken off the market last year or there was a hold.”
