In this week’s roundup of middle-market hirings and promotions, highlights include: Derrick Li’s joining Baird; Nick O’Leary’s promotion at Welsh, Carson; and Macky Tall’s getting hired by Carlyle.

Brian Cassidy and Alex Rose as co-presidents have been named co-presidents of private equity firm Crestview Partners. Cassidy will continue to lead Crestview’s media strategy and Rose will become the sole head of the firm’s industrials strategy.

Derrick Li has joined Baird as a managing director where he is focusing on the healthcare sector. He was most recently with Cellular Biomedicine Group.

Nick O’Leary has been promoted to general partner at private equity firm Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe. He joined the firm in 2015.

Macky Tall (pictured) has been hired by the Carlyle Group as co-chair of the firm’s infrastructure group. He was previously with Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (CDPQ).
