Pavion, a provider of systems for fire, safety, security and communications and a portfolio company of Wind Point Partners, has purchased Short Circuit Electronics Inc.

Established in 1988, Short Circuit offers video security, surveillance and access control systems installation and services along with equipment removal, refurbishment and repair. The company serves more than 40,000 locations across all 50 U.S. states, Puerto Rico and Canada from its headquarters in Lee’s Summit, Mo. The deal expands Pavion’s footprint in installation, repair, removal, on-site support and monitoring of video security and surveillance equipment.

“This strategic acquisition enhances our security capabilities while adding further opportunities to serve customers across a broader suite of solutions,” comments Nathan Brown, managing director at Wind Point.

Vertex Capital advised Short Circuit on the transaction.
