William Blair adds three managing directors to its Life Sciences Group. Neha Motwani comes from Truist Securities, the new combined entity of SunTrust Robinson Humphrey and BB&T Capital Markets, where she was also a managing director. Rizwan Velji comes from Citigroup where he too was a managing director, and previously was at Lazard Freres. Finally, Shantha Ozgen joins William Blair from Credit Suisse and will focus on institutional investor outreach.
William Blair’s healthcare investment banking team is having a record year in 2021, with 46 equity transactions, 37 M&A transactions, and four debt transactions, for a total of $31.47 billion in deal volume, according to the firm.
