Wendel, a European investment firm, has completed its acquisition of the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists (ACAMS), from Adtalem Global Education. The deal was previously announced on January 24, 2022.
ACAMS provides training and certifications for anti-money laundering and financial crime prevention professionals. The firm has a membership base of over 90,000 members across 175 jurisdictions with over 50,000 professionals that have obtained their CAMS certifications.
Macquarie Capital and Harris Williams served as Wendel’s financial advisors, and Kirkland & Ellis LLP as its legal advisor in the acquisition of ACAMS.
