Vista Equity Partners, a global investment firm, has purchased Avalara Inc., a tax compliance automation company, for $93.50 per share in cash.

Headquartered in Seattle, Avalara offers cloud-based compliance services for transaction taxes, including sales and use, value-added tax, goods and services tax, excise, communications, lodging and other indirect tax types. With the completion of the transaction, Avalara shares are no longer listed or traded on the New York Stock Exchange.

Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC served as financial advisor to Avalara, and Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP and Perkins Coie LLP acted as legal counsel. BofA Securities served as financial advisor to Vista and Kirkland & Ellis LLP acted as legal counsel.
