Sole Source Capital LLC, an industrials-focused private equity firm, has acquired Lee Fish USA, an importer and distributor of fresh and frozen seafood.

Founded in 2001, Lee Fish sources over 220 seafood species from a base of suppliers, including wild fisheries and farms across the globe. The company has relationships and semi-exclusive arrangements in regions including New Zealand, Australia and Japan. Lee Fish operates out of a facility near Los Angeles International Airport, which aims to allow for better turnaround times from ocean-to-table. This deal marks Sole Source’s 40th investment since its inception in 2016 and its third platform investment in the food service distribution space.

“With Sole Source, we look forward to expanding our distribution capabilities and customer base as we continue to source the highest-quality, in-demand premium seafood for our customers throughout North America,” comments Myles Bowker, CEO of Lee Fish.
