Shamrock Capital, the descendant firm of the late Roy E. Disney’s family investment fund headquartered in Los Angeles, has made a minority growth investment in Boardwalk Pictures.

Boardwalk Pictures is a production company focused on non-fiction, character-driven entertainment. Since its founding in 2010 by Andrew Fried, Boardwalk has collaborated with several streaming platforms and networks. With a focus on strategic initiatives, Shamrock looks to provide additional capital and experience to drive Boardwalk’s growth.

“As our style of storytelling becomes increasingly more mainstream, we’re eager to continue to push the way that non-fiction entertainment reaches audiences around the globe,” states Fried.

Boardwalk Pictures was represented in the deal by LionTree and Venable LLP. Shamrock Capital was represented by ACF Investment Bank and Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP.
