Serent Capital, a growth-focused private equity firm with experience in the government technology market, has made an investment in BS&A, an enterprise resource planning (ERP) software provider to municipalities.

BS&A has over 2,000 customers using its suite of services across financial management, assessing and tax, payroll, utility billing and community development software. Customers range from smaller municipalities to cities with over 100,000 residents. The platform looks to help city managers and staff perform tasks with streamlined functionality and productivity gains in operations. The investment aims to drive the company’s geographic expansion and the adoption of its cloud product.

“The investment from Serent will allow us to further expand BS&A’s reach and deliver value to BS&A’s customers across the country,” states Chad Harryman, CEO of BS&A.
