Sandvik has acquired Dimension Control Systems, a global provider of dimensional quality management software and on-site engineering services.

The firm’s software services include CAD simulation tools, enabling customers to improve their component design and metrology measurement. DCS is a trusted partner of major OEM’s and manufacturers. The firm delivers its services to over 400 customers across automotive, aerospace, electronics, medical devices and industrial machinery.

The deal will complement and enhance Sandvik’s portfolio within metrology. Dimension Control has a global network of distributors and resellers with 70 employees and $10 million in approximate revenues. The firm has had an historic annual growth rate of 10 percent with expectations to continue going forward.
