Raymond James is expanding its recapitalization and restructuring investment banking practice with the hiring of Jacob Czarnick as managing director. Czarnick will focus on restructuring and will use his background and creditor engagements to assist clients in navigating complex distressed transactions.

Based in New York City, Czarnick joins Raymond James from Perella Weinberg Partners.

“Jacob is a talented banker with a diverse skillset and cross-functional experience in a number of sectors that align well with Raymond James’ industry teams, making his advice and relationships incredibly valuable to our client base,” said Geoffrey Richards, head of the Recapitalization & Restructuring Investment Banking team. “Jacob strengthens our team of 12 senior bankers as well as the specialized capabilities offered to companies and stakeholders contending with financial distress, including pre-crisis situations, out-of-court workouts and court supervised reorganizations.”

“Raymond James has built a talented team of recapitalization and restructuring professionals,” said Czarnick. “The service offerings, platform and distinctive insights offered to clients is a real differentiator that I’m proud to be a part of.”
