Rainier Partners, a Seattle-based, lower-middle-market private equity firm, has hired Dave Shephard as director of portfolio operations.
As Rainier’s first director of portfolio operations, Shephard will be working on accelerating Rainier’s portfolio companies’ growth strategies, with a focus on value creation and partnership. Shephard brings approximately a decade of experience in strategy and operational roles. Prior to Rainier, Shephard spent six years at Bain & Co., where he managed teams focused on private equity due diligence and strategic challenges for companies across consumer, technology and industrial sectors. Earlier than that, he served as a combat arms officer in the U.S. Army where he held several strategic, operational and leadership positions.
