Quantexa, a decision intelligence services provider for the public and private sectors, has bought Aylien, a Dublin-based natural language processing (NLP) and AI company that works to help customers to collect, analyze and understand unstructured text data.

Founded in 2012, Aylien’s services include a news API for building intelligence applications with aggregated multi-lingual content from over 80,000 sources across the web, media and news outlets. Aylien also offers an application for analysts to identify, investigate and monitor news data to asses business risks and opportunities. The combination looks to see the company enter the $11 billion text analytics market.

“Quantexa is experiencing remarkable growth and I am confident that they will leverage Aylien’s offerings and bring their benefits to new solutions and customers,” states Parsa Ghaffari, Aylien CEO. “We are excited about the expanding opportunities we will have as part of the Quantexa team.”
