Polychain Capital, a San Francisco-based investment firm focused on cryptocurrency and blockchain technology, has led a $7 million seed round for Cubist Inc., a security-focused Web3 developer tools provider.

Through its set of security-focused developer tools, Cubist works to bring software engineering practices to the lifecycle of a decentralized app (dApp) from continuous integration (CI) testing to push-button deployment backed by credential management. Cubist looks to use the seed funding to expand its team, drive its product development and scale its technological capabilities. Dao5, Amplify Partners, Polygon, Blizzard, Axelar and other investors also participated in the round.

“Cubist takes a security-first approach that gives developers peace of mind at every stage of development. With the support of our investors and community, we look forward to making Web3 a safe, fruitful place for builders,” comments Ann Stefan, co-founder and chief operating offer of Cubist.
