Planet DDS, a cloud-based dental software company, has purchased Cloud 9 Software, a cloud-based practice optimization platform, from Accel-KKR.
Cloud 9 is headquartered in Roswell, Ga. and serves more than 2,900 locations. The Planet DDS dental software platform, with the addition of Cloud 9, looks to provide an improved single-vendor service to support the growth and success of multi-specialty and single-specialty practices. The acquisition of Cloud 9 aims to allow Planet DDS to continue its growth path while adding the experience of Cloud 9 in orthodontic and pediatric practice management software.
