Aqua Dermatology, a Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.-based skin care provider owned by Gryphon Investors and GTCR, has bought Surgical Dermatology Group, based in Vestavia Hills, Ala., and Skin Cancer Specialists PC of Marietta, Ga.
Surgical Dermatology Group is a surgical and dermatologic practice with nine locations throughout Alabama. SDG offers a micrographic surgery and cutaneous oncology fellowship as well as a cosmetic dermatology fellowship program. Skin Cancer Specialists is a dermatology practice with six locations in metro Atlanta and surrounding communities and offers treatment for skin cancer, general and cosmetic dermatology. SCS is equipped with a pathology laboratory and an aesthetic and laser center. Both practices will continue to operate under their existing names.
