Partners Group, a global private markets firm, has bought EdgeCore Digital Infrastructure, an owner, operator and builder of hyperscale data centers in the U.S.

Headquartered in Broomfield, Colo., EdgeCore builds and commercializes data centers for cloud, internet and technology companies. Through this deal, Partners Group will acquire EdgeCore’s existing and under-construction sites as well as invest up to USD $1.2 billion to fund the acquisition and buildout of existing and future data center sites. Partners Group aims to work with EdgeCore’s management team on its transformational value creation plan.
