Partners Group, a global private markets firm, has acquired a majority stake in Sunsure Energy, a renewable energy and decarbonization services platform in India. Partners Group intends to invest up to $400 million in the platform.

Sunsure has traditionally built solar plants for commercial & industrial customers and third-party renewable power producers in India. Going forward, as part of Partner’s Group, the firm will transition into a next-generation independent power producer. The firm plan on building and owning utility-scale solar, wind, solar-wind hybrid and battery storage renewable energy projects and additionally plans to help customers meed decarbonization and energy cost reduction goals.
