RMA Companies, backed by OceanSound Partners and a provider of technology-enabled laboratory testing, inspection and equality management services, has purchased Northwest Geotechnical Consultants, a geotechnical engineering, environmental consulting, construction inspection and construction materials testing services company.
NGI has served private and public customers across several end markets throughout the Pacific Northwest since 1983. NGI is also a special inspection agency with registration by the Oregon Building Officials Association and the Washington Association of Building Officials. The acquisition of NGI is RMA’s third transaction since December 2021 as it utilizes its acquisition-driven growth strategy to build a national testing and inspection services provider for infrastructure end-markets.
“The acquisition enhances RMA’s portfolio of testing and inspection service capabilities through the addition of advanced soils mechanics lab capabilities and enables significant cross-sell opportunities across the combined customer base of RMA and NGI,” states Ed Lyon, RMA’s CEO.
