Northleaf Capital Partners, a global private markets investment firm, has promoted Michael Bowman, Derek Chan, Lance Mu, Todd Papau, Chris Rigobon and Vishal Shah to managing directors at the firm’s Toronto office.

Bowman has been promoted to managing director, private equity. He joined Northleaf in 2016 as a vice president. He focuses on Northleaf’s private equity investment and business development activities.

Chan was promoted to managing director, tax. He joined Northleaf in 2016 as a vice president, tax. He oversees the international tax planning and strategy, compliance and investment transaction support for Northleaf’s private markets funds and corporate entities.

Mu has been promoted to managing director, portfolio strategy and analytics. He joined the firm in 2010 as a portfolio analyst. He leads the portfolio construction, risk management, analytics and research that support Northleaf’s private equity funds and product development activities.

Papau has been promoted to managing director, business development. He joined Northleaf in 2013 as a Vice President. He is responsible for building, developing and advising Northleaf’s family office, endowment and private wealth management relationships in Canada.

Rigobon was promoted to managing director, infrastructure. He joined the firm in 2014 as an associate. Chris focuses on origination, execution and asset management for Northleaf’s infrastructure investment activities in North America.

Shah was promoted to managing director, private equity. He joined Northleaf in 2013 as a senior associate, based in the Menlo Park, Calif. office. He focuses on the origination, evaluation and monitoring of Northleaf’s private equity and venture capital/growth primary investments.
