Northleaf Capital Partners, a Canadian-based global private markets investment firm, has closed its Northleaf Private Equity Investors VIII at more than $675 million, surpassing its original $600 million target.

NPE VIII offers access to a portfolio of mid-market private equity opportunities through a combination of primary, secondary and direct investments, leveraging Northleaf’s relationships with managers. The closing of the fund works to build on growth across Northleaf’s global private equity program.

“Our differentiated, global strategy is especially well-suited to today’s environment as investors seek to manage risk through diversification and disciplined portfolio construction,” says Mike Flood, managing director and head of private equity at Northleaf. “We are seeing a strong pipeline of private equity opportunities, and our experienced team remains highly selective in identifying mid-market companies with the potential to create enhanced value through operational improvements that do not rely on financial levers.”
