Morgan Lewis has added Luis Herrero as a partner resident in its Chicago office. Herrero’s move to Morgan Lewis from Sidley follows the recent arrival of another former Sidley team member, global finance practice co-leader Mark Kirsons.

“In welcoming Luis to our elite global finance team, we are doubling down on our strong lender side asset-based lending and direct lending capabilities in the US Midwest,” said Morgan firm chair Jami McKeon. “Our global finance practice serves as a trusted advisor to a host of financial services clients and we are glad to expand our services to support their financing needs.”

“In addition to his extensive background in providing advice in credit transactions across a broad array of asset classes and industries, Luis has deep experience structuring, negotiating, and closing equity sponsor acquisition financings,” said Jonathan Bernstein, leader of Morgan Lewis’s global finance practice. “We are thrilled to welcome Luis and Mark, who have collaborated closely for many years to advise banking and private equity clients.”
