Mill Point Capital, a private equity firm, has acquired Nursery Supplies Inc., a manufacturer of horticulture packaging services, from Lincolnshire Management Inc.
Incorporated in 1966 and headquartered in Kissimmee, Fla., NSI is a recycler and manufacturer of a line of horticulture containers and trays. NSI is focused on manufacturing thermoforming products designed for the nursery industry. The company services its customer base through a presence in six states with manufacturing and distribution facilities in Florida, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Texas, and additional distribution facilities in California and Oregon.
“NSI was an opportunity to partner with a well-regarded supplier in the horticultural space and help drive business growth alongside the development of ecologically sustainable products using recycled materials and post-consumer plastics,” says Mike Lyons, president, Lincolnshire Management. “We also implemented significant operational improvements while sourcing and executing acquisitions, enabling the company to develop specialty injection molded and thermoformed products.”
