Michael Nelson was hired by William Blair as a managing director in the investment bank’s technology group. He was previously with FT Partners.
Nelson will play a pivotal role in the firm’s FinTech advisory growth, while expanding its investment banking footprint to include Denver, the firm said.
“Our FinTech practice’s expertise centers on the complex technology behind payments, banking, insurance, wealth management, cryptocurrency, the office of the CFO, and regulatory compliance,” said Chris Lane, co-head William Blair’s technology group.
