Melody Investment Advisors, an alternative asset manager focused on communications infrastructure, has closed its Melody Communications Infrastructure Fund II at $1.95 billion. The fund closed oversubscribed and exceeded its target by 30 percent.

Current investments from the fund include CTI Towers, an owner and operator of wireless towers across the U.S.; Harmoni Towers, a tower builder; and a portfolio of growing cell sites and easements from Symphony Wireless. The fund’s investors include a geographically diverse group made up of institutional infrastructure investors, public and private pensions, sovereign wealth funds, endowments and trusts.

“We are grateful to our investors for their support and commitment, as well as to our clients who we believe will benefit from new investments in Melody’s portfolio companies,” said Chester Dawes, COO and CFO at Melody Investment Advisors.
