Masonite International Corp., a designer, manufacturer, marketer and distributor of interior and exterior doors and door systems, has bought Endura Products, a manufacturer of door frames and door system components, for approximately $375 million in cash.
Endura’s product offerings include engineered frames, self-adjusting sill systems, weather sealing, multi-point locks and installation accessories used by builders and contractors in residential construction as well as repair and remodeling applications. The company’s products are sold to distributors located throughout the U.S. and Canada, as well as direct to original equipment manufacturers and online.
“In combination with the resources and talent at Masonite we will be able to continue to provide the best possible products, service and support for existing customers while moving even faster to bring new door system solutions to market,” says Bruce Procton, president of Endura.
Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz is serving as legal counsel for Masonite in connection with the transaction and Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP is serving as financing counsel for Masonite.
