Marathon Capital LLC, a financial advisory and investment banking firm to the clean and sustainable energy sector, has hired Jonathan Hough to the firm as managing director. Hough will be based in Houston, Texas where he will expand the firm’s coverage to assist midstream and downstream oil and gas companies as they pursue their energy transition objectives and strategies.

Hough joins Marathon Capital following more than a decade with BMO Capital Markets, where he was responsible for building, executing, and leading the firm’s U.S. midstream business. Hough has worked in the energy sector for more than 17 years, beginning his career at Deutsche Bank and subsequently holding positions with Growth Capital Partners, Credit Suisse and Goldman Sachs.
