Long Ridge Equity Partners, a private equity firm focused on the financial and business technology sectors, has promoted Andrew Cedar and Jason Melton to partner and Doug Nelson to principal.

Cedar joined Long Ridge in 2016. He serves on the board of portfolio companies Acqueon and Ametros and is a board observer for Oritain. He also helps lead the firm’s DEI initiatives as a member of the firm’s environmental, social and governance committee. Prior to Long Ridge, Cedar was at McKinsey & Co., where he reported directly to the global managing partner.

Melton joined Long Ridge in 2014 and serves on the board of portfolio companies AuthenticID, NinjaTrader, ProcessUnity and Ripjar. Before Long Ridge, he worked at Barclays in the financial institutions group, advising financial technology and services companies on M&A and capital markets transactions.

Nelson joined the firm in 2018 and is an advisory board member for the FinTech Sandbox. Prior to joining Long Ridge, he was with F-Prime Capital, a global venture capital firm affiliated with Fidelity Investments. Nelson also previously worked in strategy for Fidelity, product management for Amazon and finance for Flywire.

“Andrew, Jason, and Doug have grown into proven firm leaders and seasoned investment professionals driving results across the Long Ridge portfolio,” says Kevin Bhatt, managing partner of Long Ridge. “We are excited to see them continue to grow in their new roles and look forward to their continued contributions to our portfolio of world-class founders and high-growth businesses.”
