Johannes Huth is retiring from his roles as KKR (NYSE: KKR) chairman for Europe, the Middle East and Africa and an active partner after spending 25 years at the private equity firm.

London-based Huth will remain at KKR as a senior advisory partner and on the boards of hedge fund Marshall Wace, media company Axel Springer and vacation parks group Roompot, according to a LinkedIn post. Huth joined the private equity firm in 1999 after getting a cold call from co-founder Henry Kravis. Huth became a partner at the firm in 2000 and was named chairman of EMEA in early 2023. He was previously head of KKR EMEA.
