Bettcher Industries, a developer and manufacturer of food processing and medical device equipment and a portfolio company of KKR, has purchased Frontmatec, a global manufacturer of automated services for pork and beef processing.
Frontmatec will join Bettcher to form a protein processing automation service. Frontmatec’s robotics, vision systems, software and other capabilities as well as its global footprint and strong presence in Europe complement Bettcher’s focus on semi-automated protein processing tools and automated poultry processing systems. Bettcher and Frontmatec will continue to operate independently under their existing brands and leadership teams.
